Scope and Contents The collection consists of measured drawings, preliminary sketches, progress prints, working drawings and some correspondence for the restoration, retrofitting, or repair of a number of properties on the alley (mostly owned by the not-for-profit association) including the Elfreth’s Alley Association Museum located in a rowhouse on the alley, the public alley-way, and adjacent court, all located between Race and Arch Street, off Second Street, in Philadelphia. The Eli P. Zebooker Collection is an exemplary group of 18th and 19th century materials with a particularly strong focus on the geography and built environment of Greater Philadelphia. Donated to the Athenaeum in October 2010, it consists of 127 items including 62 books (see Athena on-line catalog), 33 maps, 30 prints, 1 newspaper and 1 set of commemorative postage stamps. It includes materials that range in date from 1750 through 1979, although the bulk of the collection predates 1900.

This collection documents the life and work of stained glass artist Frank Ellsworth Weeder (1868-1952). It consists of one notebook of biographical and project information and includes extra pamphlets documenting work at the Evangelical and Reformed Church of Oak Lane and St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (Wilmington, NC). Other artists mentioned in the collection are Frances (Fanny) Sweeny and Charles Connick, This collection was compiled and donated by Gilbert L. Weeder.

Architectural drawings from the office of landscape architect F. Furman Betts, [ca. 1922-1938] 112 items. Some of these have Betts identification, others are attributed. Known projects are for sites in New Jersey and in the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania. Many miscellaneous study sketches remain unprocessed. Drawings included here for 1922, 1923/24, and 1927 identify Betts as a Philadelphia landscape architect.
