Goldman Theater Company collection
Scope and Contents
The Goldman Theater Company Collection is a mix of photographs from the Goldman Theater Company and Stanley-Warner. Much of the collection focuses on Ted Schlanger, who succeeded William Goldman as Philadelphia Zone Manager for Stanley-Warner around 1933 when Goldman left to form his own company. The photos tend to depict Ted Schlanger at events, hobnobbing with celebrities and movie industry executives. In 1972, Ted's son Claude's company, Budco acquired The William Goldman Company theaters, which is probably how this assortment of Ted's photos and Goldman Company photos came together.
