Biographical / Historical

Irving Sharrow was a 1949 graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago (earning a BFA in Industrial Design) and an award-winning designer. Based in Philadelphia from 1956 to 1976, he was also member of the PA chapter of the National Society of Interior Designers. Sharrow also founded SCOPE, his solo-practitioner design firm, located in Bala Cynwyd in the 1960s and early 1970s.

After leaving Philadelphia in 1976, his career subsequently continued in Los Angeles. Sharrow passed away in 2023.
