The Leon Karpel Photograph Collection includes 188 items stored in 2 upright file boxes. The collection includes half-tone photographic prints of eighteenth century Pennsylvania-- primarily Eastern Pennsylvania and Philadelphia-- buildings and structures, originally published in American Architect and Architecture, Architectural Forum, and Architectural Record, 1920-1955. Subjects include interior and exterior views, schematic drawings and close-ups of unique features. The collection includes structures such as Dickinson College, Carlisle Meetinghouse, Tom Moore House, Newton - Gutman House, Hillis House, Richardson House, John Bartram House, Fairmount Park buildings, and St. Peter's Church, among others.
